Leather Lanyards
Unique leather lanyards designed for fishing, hunting, glasses, badges, keys, and the useful things you want to keep close at hand.
Each lanyard is cut, finished, corded, or woven with attention to strength, beauty, durability, and natural character..
These are made to order from free-range deer and elk leathers. The cordage is deer and the neck pad is elk. I use waxed linen for the wrap and the beads are glass and bone that I hand-dye with coffee, teas and walnut hulls.
Call loops are wax infused deerskin that will slide easily but hold well. They attach to the lanyard with solid steel split rings with a durable PVD antiqued brass coating. The initial ring is located behind the fringe and can hold one or two calls. Additional rings can be added on the left or right of the lanyard. These rings can be adjusted up or down the lanyard cording so you can find a comfortable balanced placement for whatever size or number of calls you choose to wear. Loops attach in a way that also allows for two loop calls to be adjusted to the proper angle for the weight of your call.
Standard lanyard length is 32” to where the call loops attach, but I’m happy to customize. Standard loop lengths are 4” or 6”. Again… happy to customize for you.
These can be reversed so that the beaded fringe hangs behind the neck, rather than at the front of the lanyard, however the neck pad cannot be worn with this configuration.
If you have any questions, feel free to call before you order. You can include any comments in the comment section when you order and I’ll will confirm any details of your order before I begin your lanyard. See below for more info.
with bone stabilizer bar
My fly fishing lanyard is designed to move with your body but stay out of the way even when netting fish! Each lanyard is cut by hand, then wax infused and corded. Cordage is an ancient spiral braiding technique known for its combination of strength, beauty and durability. I use Irish waxed linen for the wrap and hand-dye bone beads with coffee, tea and walnut hulls to decorate the fringe. Tippet and stabilizer bars are also bone and hand-dyed with walnut hull.
Adding a bit of earthy class to any official ensemble you may need to sport, these are available in the pictured colors OR you can request a custom combo to suit your team or organization. I'm also happy to customize lengths.
These have removable solid brass hardware and will accommodate all standard badge styles.
Corded Deerskin Glasses Lanyards
Great for the field, the office, or the open road...
This is a more refined version of the lanyard I originally offered through the Orvis catalog. Rather than the keepers attaching directly to the leather, they are attached with metal split rings so keepers can be replaced infinitely.
I'm happy to replace the keepers for the life of the lanyard and if you’re sad because you have one of the Orvis originals with broken keepers…cry no more : ) See below for details…I’ll get you fixed up!
From hippies and hunters, to bikers and CEO’s, these are one of my most popular items. I make them in 4 standard colors or any custom combo of the colors pictured here. If you are wanting a color you don’t see here…to match your favorite sports team, promote your organization or just to suit your fancy, please contact me to see if I can accommodate your needs.
These lanyards are all made to order. They are cut by hand, then wax infused and woven.
The wax infused deerskin has an incredible feel and will develop a nice patina with wear. On styles with fringe, the brass split ring and swivel snap are located on the underside of the fringe.
Additional brass rings can be included along the braid if you like to carry multiple items, such as ID badge, whistle, glasses, etc. For Upland lanyards, I can provide the counters and/or work your preferred items into the design for an additional charge.
Please contact me for any custom inquiries.
Made for Strength, Beauty, and Functionality
Primavera lanyards are made with free-range deer and elk leathers from animals that were legally hunted and used for meat. A portion of each sale supports wildlife conservation.
Each lanyard is individually handcut, then oiled and/or wax-infused depending on the leather and design. Some are corded, some are woven, and each is finished with the details and selected elements to make them work for you.
Primavera lanyards are made after your order is placed. Processing time is typically 2–4 weeks depending on order volume and design, and we’re happy to provide an estimated ship date before or after purchase.
